In Memory of Dr. Karl Wegner

This issue of the Wegner Center newsletter is dedicated to the legacy of Dr. Karl Wegner, namesake of the Karl and Mary Jo Wegner Health Science Information Center.   Dr. Wegner’s vision for a library without walls became a reality in January 1998 when the doors of the Karl and Mary Jo Wegner Health Information Center first opened.

The large portrait of Dr. Karl and Mary Jo Wegner welcomes one and all who walk through the doors and seek health information for patient care or help with their educational needs.

Dr. Wegner continued to support the Wegner Center throughout the years.  He always took time to stop by the Wegner Center to greet staff with his gentle demeanor and complementary words. Dr. Karl Wegner passed away on April 4, 2014, and is deeply missed.
